Some iPhone shots by Jennifer of the snow we got last night.. it was fun driving down the hill in the LR2 and the snowtires, it reminded me of living in Canada..

Click on this picture to see more pictures of Jennifer’s 2008 LandRover LR2. I will be writing a longer review soon, but it’s a fantastic vehicle for the amenities and the price. And the colour.. the colour is fantastic.
May’s issue of the free Winding Road online car magazine has just come out, and there is a short but very positive review of the new Land Rover LR2. They also have a pretty ‘interesting’ video of them driving it in the sand.
I don’t see any easy way to link to the actual review, but the magazine is free, you just need to sign up. But this did give me an idea of doing some small video snippits when ours arrives.
Jennifer and I have been test driving different vehicles to replace her BMW X3 (which the lease ends in May). We’ve decided on the 2008 Land Rover LR2. Since I haven’t found a good personal review of the car, I’m planning to write a review of it when we get it, including some pictures. We might be getting it on April 24th, the dealer here in Portland might have found one of the color combinations we preferred. (Stornoway Grey Metallic with Ebony Black and the three option packages).
I’ve sat in one at the dealership, and been pretty impressed. Most impressive was the built in navigation system, which has a Macintosh feel to it, with menus sliding in from the left. The navigation system also has some great time saving features of which I’ll document once we receive the LR2.
Ideally I’ll add quarterly reports, but I’m taking this idea in small steps.
Stay tuned.
