FIOS TV - Some bad things

There have been some bad experiences so far with Verizon FIOS tv:

- the FIOS HD DVR has settings for all season passes. The TiVo allows for individual settings per season pass. This is annoying when I want to save 10 Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, but only 1 of the local nightly news.

- the guide seems to be out of date with shows and lengths. Although perhaps that will solve itself.. but I would have expected it to solve itself by now. (6 days of being connected)

- I still don’t have cable cards for my series 3. However.. calling and threatening to cancel my service has caused them to pull some strings and get someone out here tomorrow.

I still haven’t cancelled my Comcast tv.. hopefully tomorrow I’ll get the cable cards, and things will be back to some sense of normalcy.. if normalcy on tv is “Clash Of The Choirs”.

Stupid fraking writers strike.
