Justin’s “Can You Digg It, Sucka?”
Can You Digg It, Sucka?: “Today has been somewhat of an interesting day. I decided to sleep in this morning and woke up to a pleasant surprise as I sifted through my RSS feeds: Emily’s piece on Dating An Apple Developer was picked up as a front page story on Digg……

Go read Justin’s post on Digg.. very well written, and really brings up a great point about being civil in blogland.. people tend to hide behind log in names, feeling that they can post anything mean because hey, you’ll never actually meet people in real life.
I leave you with this, which will change if I can find the real saying I am looking for – why is there no really good bible software out there for the Mac?? (warning, religious section ahead!) :
Prov. 12:18
Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Comcast Cable Modem – Bandwidth vs Speed?
This morning I upgraded my Comcast cable modem service to the 8 megabit down, 768 up. I am getting that in upload speed, but all of my download tests are showing about 4.5 megabit down..
I called up support, and they tell me that Comcast does offer actual 8 megabit download speed, but 8 megabit “bandwidth”. Which, well, seems odd to me (having worked at Excite@Home for two years).
Is this true? If I download two files, I will get 8 megabits per second download, but if I download one big file (say xcode from Apple’s servers) I won’t get more than 4 megbits per second?
