Muddy Foot

Muddy Foot, originally uploaded by Jennifer J.

Last Saturday, I organized a little event for the Youth Group that I help out with, Entheos. It was a lot of fun. Basically, the Juniors/Seniors (we only have 4 Seniors this year, so I needed to add the Juniors) "borrowed" the Freshman.

Now, the term "borrowed" is being used, not because I want to be politically correct but because we I started talking about a kidnap some of the upper class men (really boys) got a little too excited and wanted to use rope and duct tape.

Once the Freshmen were "borrowed" we went to George Rogers Park in Lake Oswego and played games and had a picnic. The last game played was a tackle version of Steal the Bacon were I think almost everyone got a little muddy, some more than others.

Overall, it was a good experience for all. Next year, I hope to get a hold of more parents of the Freshmen and have a even bigger group.

5 Dozen Roses for 5 Years of Marriage

IMG_0804.JPG, originally uploaded by Jennifer J.

Last Friday, Oct. 14, was Lucien and mine 5th Wedding Anniversary. It was a great day. First, I got these beautiful flowers delivered to work. There are 5 dozen roses, one for each year of marriage. Lucien also took the extra effort to take pictures from our wedding to the florist (Buddies Flowers in Lake Oswego, I can highly recommend them) to match the color scheme of our wedding. They did an excellent job as the bouquet was beautiful.

Once I got home from work, Lucien whisked me off to downtown Portland were we had dinner at Huber's Restaurant (Lucien loves a good Turkey Dinner). After dinner Lucien checked us into The Benson Hotel where he got us upgraded to the Penthouse Suites and there were Rose Petals on the bed. And if this was not enough, we then went to Portland Center Stage's Production of "Underneath the Lintel".

It was a wonderful way to celebrate our Anniversary. Thank you Lucien.

Floating Candles

This is a picture that I took at a Friend's wedding. I was basically trying to be artistic. I think I did a good job of capturing the light, I just need to work on Composition.

Golden Gate Bridge

This is a cool (at least I think it's cool) picture of the Golden Gate Bridge that I took over Labor Day weekend. It was a really foggy day in The City while 5 miles outside of the city it was beautiful and bright.

I like this photo because the top of the bridge is in the fog and it kind of looks like I was standing in the middle of the road to take this picture. My hope is that when people view this picture that it mentally takes them back to San Francisco.
