Frustrations with Quicken

I am trying to get an early start on my taxes this year, I don't want to leave until the last moment like last year. So, I fired up my new version of Turbo Tax and started plugging in all my data. I also use Quicken to track my home finances, so I figure it should be pretty easy. Well, I was wrong.

First, let me say that I am pretty anal with keeping my finances up-to date in Quicken. I make sure that everything is reconciled and I track all my Investments including the Buying and Selling of stocks (down to which lot is sold when).

So I am going through the "Interview" questions in Turbo Tax and am to the part where I need to enter my ESPP Sells. Ok, I can do this. So I am entering the information and it starts asking me about the specific Lots that were sold. No problem, I got this, it is in Quicken (did I mention, I already imported the information from Quicken into Turbo Tax). I start looking around Quicken, find the record in the register, and try to open it by double clicking. You would expect that the details would display and I would be able to find exactly which Lots were sold. But no, Quicken can't be that easy, it gives me an error stating that if I want to edit the ESPP information, I need to delete the record and start from scratch. To me this is not right. I figured there must be some sort of report, but I couldn't find any, nor did the help work. Does anyone out there know where the find this information?

I ended up logging on to the website of the Investment Firm to find which dates the lots were sold from and then looking up the specific details in Quicken, it was a pain in the butt. After I finished with the ESPP sale "Interview" questions, I moved the the generic Stock Sales and all my ESPP information that was imported from Quicken was present. Of course, I can't use the information on this screen. Turbo Tax yells at me when I try to edit the information.

Bottom Line, not only can't I see the details in Quicken, Turbo Tax also doesn't let me use the data that was imported. If any one has any helpful suggestions, please let me know.

Oh yeah, at this time I am not switching to any other Tax program or Personal Finance software, as I have too much data in Quicken to change now.
